If the DNS page is showing "AUTO", then the cable-modem receives its IP-address from the Shaw DHCP-server. If the setting is "MANUAL", then you must be told by Shaw what IP-address to manually enter, as an "override" of the whole DHCP-client-and-DHCP-server configuration protocol. if you want to see if it's a dns issue, use the nslookup command in command prompt. Assumng your dns is set to auto and using shaw. nslookup if they resolve to the same ip address, then it's not a dns issue. Web browser says 'DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NO_INTERNET', even I reset the router, but still same thing is happening. Restarting PC, resetting network service wont work. I suppose this is problem with Shaw network and the router.. Any solution to fix DNS problem? Almost all of the network issue I am having is because of DNS.
